County council moves money around to help pay for culvert replacement by Gould’s Creek

Haliburton County is helping the Haliburton Highlands Association with a project.

County C.A.O. Mike Rutter says it is to replace a culvert by Gould’s Creek.

To make it happen, council decided to take $10,000 from the rehabilitation of the Gelert Bridge as well as another $10,000 from the rail trail reserves.

Rutter says improvements to the bridge will still be made but it won’t be completely re-decked as originally planned.

Rutter adds this won’t impact the budget since the money is coming from reserves and another project.
