Haliburton County is looking at having a central calendar for all types of events in the region.
A group made a presentation to the county’s Tourism Committee saying that it wants to try a pilot project where different tourist groups can post their events on a central site.
Tourism Committee Chairperson Carol Moffatt says having a central calendar can save event planners time.
Moffatt adds she is excited to see what the group can do.
Moffatt says there are plenty of events on the county’s tourism website but says the proposal could feature more activities.
The hasn’t committed any money towards the initiative.
