The Haliburton Highlands Outdoors Association is holding hunting and gun licence courses this weekend.
The H.H.O.A. is partnering with the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters to bring the courses to Haliburton.
H.H.O.A. Vice-President of Marketing and Research Rusty Rustenburg says the courses will be over two days.
Rustenburg adds the courses are usually $500 but he was able to get a better deal for attendees through the O.F.A.H. who plan on attending.

In order to possess a firearm, you need to have a possession and acquisition licence from the federal government.
The program will be offered at the H.H.O.A. Centre on Gelert Road.
