Head Lake Park isn’t only for spring and summer parties, it’s for winter too.

Dysart et al and the Haliburton and District Lions Club are hosting Frost Fest at the park, which is a celebration of winter.

It will be on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Haliburton Lions Vice-President Jim Frost says some good food will be cooked up.

The polar bear challenge is for anyone who got donations for their dive into Head Lake.

Frost adds there will be prizes for those jumping into the lake.

This is the sixth year of the challenge and it has managed to raise around $33,000 for the Sick Children’s Hospital in Toronto as well as approximately $9,000 for Haliburton Highlands Health Services.
