Minden Hills is a step closer to a major renovation project.
Council created a task force for the refurbishing of the S.G. Nesbitt Community Centre and Arena.
Mayor Brent Devolin and Councillor Ron Nesbitt will be the township’s representatives on the task force.
Devolin says there are some great minds in the eight-member group.
Council committed to a $5.5 million renovation of the community centre last year.
Devolin adds he feels this is the start of something exciting for Minden.
Devolin says the task force will be working together for the next year or two.
He also says he’s hopeful to have sessions for public input on the project later this year.
