More entrepreneurs and businesses in Haliburton County are up for awards than any other year.
That’s according to Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce Manager Autumn Wilson.
Wilson says 130 individuals and businesses were nominated for one of 12 awards to be presented at the chamber’s annual gala next month.
She also says there are many people and businesses that were nominated for the first time.

The chamber also has a new award, the Young Professional of the Year, which is for anyone 35 and younger.
Wilson adds there are 10 nominees for this category.
The sold out gala will be on March 17th.
