Haliburton County residents will be digging deeper into their pockets this year.
That’s because the county passed a bylaw at yesterday’s (Wednesday’s) meeting to rubber stamp the 2018 budget.
Homeowners will be paying $5.15 per $100,000 of assessed property value.
Warden Suzanne Partridge says the increase is a little higher than the first draft.
The increase will be 2.91 per cent to cover the 2018 levy.
The total levy this year is over $16.5 million.
