The Rails End Gallery is reaching out to artists to help with this year’s Haliburton DrumFest.

The not-for-profit gallery is having its first ever poster contest for its signature event.

The winner will have his or her artwork displayed on the event’s poster.

Gallery Curator Laurie Jones says any artwork submitted doesn’t have to necessarily have drums.

Jones adds it’s a great opportunity for emerging artists to showcase their work and even have it on display at September’s DrumFest.

The contest deadline is on March 17th and the DrumFest will be on September 1st in Head Lake Park.
