Reid doesn’t plan to respond to notice of legal action

Minden Hills resident Richard Bradley wants an apology and retraction from Reeve Barb Reid. A video has surfaced of Reid making an obscene gesture to Bradley at Canada Day events. The Minden Times has published the contents of an email they say was sent to them by Reid in which she is quoted as saying  “I have also been advised that Bradley often Photoshops pictures (don’t you think my middle finger looks a little long?). I hope you asked to see the original photo from his camera because people are telling me the people in the picture could have been Photoshopped in.”

In a Facebook post yesterday, Bradley posted a letter of notice he sent to Reid this week informing her of his intent to pursue legal action under the Ontario Libel and Slander Act. In an interview with ChexTV on July 2, Reid said she felt Bradley had been stalking her with his camera for the past four years.

In an interview with Moose FM, Bradley said he doesn’t want to file the paperwork, but wants an on the record retraction and apology in a council meeting.

He hasn’t received a response yet, but expects to hear something soon. He says if the apology and retraction doesn’t come forward, he’ll go ahead with filing the lawsuit.

In a phone call with Moose FM, Reid confirmed she received the letter but doesn’t plan to respond.
