There will be a special arena rate for minor hockey and figure skating in Minden Hills.
The Committee of the Whole is endorsing a proposed bylaw that would see the arena rates set at $40 an hour or $100 per-day.
In order to qualify for the $100, the arena would have to be rented for a minimum of four hours.
The original hourly rate for minor hockey is $80 an hour.
The special rates would be in effect from labour day until Easter.
The bylaw will be presented to council next week for formal approval.
