Canadian Blood Services continues to be impressed with its donor clinics in Haliburton.

Blood services set a target of 72 pints of blood for the clinic at the Haliburton Legion yesterday and ended up getting 87.

Four of the last five clinics in the county have surpassed their targets.

Blood Services Territory Manager Andra Stancu says the extra supply will help save lives.

The next donor clinic will be on June 11th.

Stancu adds that blood service apologizes for any delays in appointments yesterday.

She says there was a glitch with the appointment program causing overbooking in some cases and doesn’t expect any problems for June’s clinic.
