Canadian Blood Services is giving more county residents a chance to save lives.
Blood services will be increasing its target from 72 pints of blood to 90 for its donor clinic in June.
Territory Manager Andra Stancu says four of the last five clinics at the Haliburton Legion have surpassed their targets.
Stancu adds the increase in the target is enough to help three patients going through heart surgery.

There was a clinic in Haliburton on Monday and it brought in 87 pints of blood.
Stancu adds the increased target was due because of how well the local clinic performs.
