Are you on the voter’s list?

How sure are you that you can vote in the upcoming mu8nicipal elections in the county? If you are not sure, there is a website where residents can verify if they are on the voting list. Voter Lookup will ask you to enter your personal information. If you are not on the voter list, you can add yourself to it by answering a few questions.

Haliburton County has two municipalities and two townships. Residents of Dysart et al, Algonquin Highlands, Highlands East and Minden Hills will elect their mayors and councillors. Following that, the county council will be the mayors and deputy mayors of each lower-tier government. The warden is then elected by secret ballot by county council. No mayors or councillors have declared whether they are seeking re-election but have until July 1st to do so.
