Winter is not ready to leave Haliburton County just yet

The winter weather is likely to hang around Haliburton for the rest of the week. The snowy icy weather is expected to move out of the county tomorrow afternoon. But Environment Canada Meteorologist Geoff Coulson says it will be followed by an arctic air mass dropping temperatures way below the norm for this time of year.

Coulson says we could see another snowfall on Friday with five to 10 centimeters expected to fall. Environment Canada has warned April is expected to be cooler than usually before the warmer weather returns in May. The freezing rain warning statement for the county says the rain will likely last for several hours early tomorrow morning.
