Two motorists charged with stunt driving in Haliburton County

Two motorists are facing stunt driving charges in separate incidents. According to the Haliburton Highlands O.P.P. a 24-year-old female from Essa Township was allegedly clocked at 128 kilometres an hour on County Road 503 on April 2nd. The speed limit on that portion of the road in Minden Hills is 70 kilometres an hour.

On Sunday evening, the O.P.P. was doing a radar patrol on Highway 35 by Moore Lake Estates Road in Minden. A 24-year-old male driver was allegedly clocked at 153 kilometres an hour, where the speed limit is 80.

Both suspects had their driver’s licences suspended for seven days and their vehicles impounded as well. Stunt driving fines can range anywhere from $2,000-$10,000.
