Haliburton’s health unit is making it easier for you to get access to the food you need.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit has released Food For All In Haliburton County, a guide to county food banks, fresh produce and meal programs and community gardens available to help anyone in need of some local support. Health officials say at least one out of every ten households in Haliburton is food insecure, meaning they often don’t know when they’ll eat next.
