The youth in Haliburton County are hyped that they will have their own hub. Several Haliburton Highlands Secondary School students were at the Point in Time Centre for Children, Youth and Parents yesterday in the Village of Haliburton for the announcement of funding towards a youth hub.
One of those students is Liam Bergman and he says this is a big win for the entire community.
Bergman also says it’s great to know that the youth of Haliburton will have the most say on what the hub will look like.
He adds that youth in the county need more things to do.
Yesterday’s announcement did not include a specific dollar amount. Point in Time Executive Director Marg Cox says the search for a suitable property is underway.
