Four candidates vying for your vote in the riding as election campaign gets underway tomorrow

Political candidates for Queen’s Park hit the campaign trail tomorrow. Four people are asking for your vote on June 7th to represent the Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes, Brock riding. Incumbent Conservative M.P.P. Laurie Scott will be seeking her fifth term in the legislature. The Kinmount resident was first elected in 2003.

Also vying for votes is N.D.P. candidate Zac Miller, who is a student at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology who resides in Pontypool. Fenelon Falls resident Gene Balfour will represent the Libertarian Party. Balfour is a retired businessman. The Liberals announced its candidate for the riding yesterday and it will be Lindsay resident, and University of Western Ontario student Brooklynne Cramp-Waldinsperger.

The deadline for provincial candidates to file is May 17th and there will be an all-candidates meeting at the Pinestone Resort on May 28th.
