News Renovation on S.G. Nesbitt Community Centre and Arena could start next summer SHARE ON: Kenny Trenton, contributor, Friday, May. 11th, 2018 The S.G. Nesbitt Community Centre and arena renovation project could start next August. The arena task force released s schedule of milestones for items such as requests for proposals for engineering, construction, as well as dates to present to council for approval. Mayor Brent Devolin, who sits on the task force, says the group has been touring various facilities that have undergone significant renovations over the last few years. Devolin says the task force has a lot of expertise when it comes to renewing a facility like the community centre. //www.myhaliburtonnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/05/BD-2.mp3 The next step for the township is to get requests for proposal for the arena design and engineering, which the expectation of awarding the contract at July’s council meeting.
