Haliburton County councilors will be keeping their fingers crossed next week as a possible announcement of the OPP Billing Model could happen at the AMO (Association of Municipalities of Ontario) conference. The latest proposal has Haliburton County residents facing a potential 34 per cent increase in taxes. Warden Dave Burton says they’re expecting the new model to be presented by Tuesday.
