North America’s most unique fishing derby is back starting July 1. The Big Fish Derby is a three-month catch, photograph and release event that allows anglers of all ages and skill set to fish any lake in the Haliburton Highlands in pursuit of the biggest fish. Over $5000 in cash and prizes are available to be won in five species categories. Residents and visitors to the area can choose between a weekend, month or seasonal registration.
