The most recent branch of the Haliburton County libraries is being recognized for its accessibility. After an assessment from the County’s Joint Accessibility Committee, the new Wilberforce library received a Barrier Aware Certificate of Excellence. Marilyn Stafford presented the certificate to Highlands East council yesterday. She said as someone who has been in a wheelchair for 21 years, she’s happy to see the advancements made to public areas like this.
