The body of Korbin South has been found. The Almaguin Highlands OPP says after three days of searching the Magnetawan River, the Underwater Search and Recovery Unit found the seven-year-old’s body at around 1pm today.
South was recovered in about 11 feet of water and 217 metres below the Burk’s Falls dam. Police say South had been playing along the shoreline with other kids when he was swept away by the current just before 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
The OPP is continuing the investigation, but do not believe foul play was a factor.
