Minden Council approvedĀ the addition of 30 and 48 amp plugs to the Minden Fairgrounds.
The Minden Kinsmen Club is hoping to install plugs to 68 campsites on the grounds, using funding from a Trillium Grant.
For the installation to take place, there will need to be coordination with Hydro One for the installation of all required breakers, panels, and wires.
The hope is this will improve camping facilities, and attract more culturalĀ events to the area.

As well there is a hope that it will make the Fairgrounds more accessible to people with disabilities, allowing the use of electronic equipment and air conditioning.
If need be, the work could include reducing the amperage to outside receptaclesĀ to avoid overloading the circuits.
