The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge Health Unit has released their weekly water testing results.
All of the beaches in Haliburton County are open and safe says the health unit. Of all the beaches the HKPR tests, the only one to come back with high levels of bacteria was Omemee Beach.
HKPR tests the water at all the public beaches in their network weekly for bacteria that can be harmful to humans and pets. Any beach that comes back with higher than acceptable levels gets the label of ‘POSTED’ on their website and at the beach. The health unit tests a total of 17 public beaches in Haliburton County.
