Two sites in Minden will be considered for an affordable housing project. Minden Hills council heard from the CEO of the Kawartha Lakes Haliburton Housing Corporation (KLHHC), Hope Lee. According to their research, there are over 200 people on a waiting list in Minden for affordable housing.
Two sites in the municipality were proposed – the fire hall property and the Minden park property. At yesterday’s council meeting, they approved those sites for affordable housing projects as long as they are approved through the feasibility study.
