Tomorrow will see the beginning of the Haliburton Highlands Hospital Foundation’s annual radiothon on 93.5 Moose FM.
This year’s annual fundraising campaign will focus on upgrading the hospital’s cardiac telemetry equipment, which is used to track heart rates and blood pressure of the patients. Moose FM will be in studio to take your phone calls and donations at 705-457-3897.
Lisa Tompkins, the Executive Director of the HHHSF, says that the equipment is used on patients that need constant monitoring and that the cardio telemetry equipment allows doctors and nurses to monitor multiple patients from a single location. Tompkins says that the cost of this equipment is $550,000.
Moose FM will be live on location tomorrow and Friday from 3:00pm-6:00pm at the Boshkung Social.
