Minden Rotary Lagoon Beach Unsafe for Swimming

The Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge Health Unit has released their weekly beach test results, and Lagoon Beach in Minden came back with high levels of bacteria.

Every week the HKPR tests the public beaches under their care and posts the findings, and the Minden Rotary Lagoon Beach has been labelled as posted which means the bacteria levels in the water can be harmful to humans and pets. Whereas the rest of the beaches in the area are open and safe for swimming

Northumberland County’s beaches are all deemed safe, the only exception being Bewdley Beach. Kawartha Lakes are all acceptable other than Omemee and Riverview beach.
