A beach in Algonquin Park has been re-opened.
Algonquin Park says that the beach at Lake of Two Rivers Campground has been reopened after originally being closed on August 6th because of a high number of E. coli counts. When the beach was closed, 1000 E. coli per 100mL of water was found, when the Provincial safety standard is 100.
Since then, Algonquin Park says the water has been tested again and is now once again safe to swim in. To view a full list of Algonquin Park closures and advisories, go here.
