HLCA Property Owners to Vote in October

The Haliburton Lake Cottagers’ Association is pleading to increase voter turn out this year.

HLCA says that voter turn out less than 40% of non-resident owners voted in 2014 and that property owners in the area have a stake in the election regardless of living here full time. Dysart et al will deal with mail-in voting in the upcoming election and the only requirements to vote is to be 18 or older, a Canadian citizen, and be a resident or property owner within the municipality you wish to vote in.

The HLCA encourages that everyone double check that they are on the voter’s list well in advance

Any questions can be directed to the Federation of Cottage Owners.
