Haliburton Forest staff say that next week is the last chance this year to howl with the wolves.
This Thursday, people going there can catch a presentation on wolves followed by a hike to what Haliburton Forest calls “just the right spot.”
Staff say that they cannot guarantee the wolves howl back, but once in the ideal location staff and attendees try and lure the wolves elsewhere in the forest to howl back. Forest officials say that there is no cost to the event, but donations are appreciated.
Haliburton Forest also hosts a wolf sanctuary featuring a pack of several ranging in age.
