Corduroy Enduro a go-ahead with approvals

This year’s Corduroy Enduro event is moving forward. Chair Blair Sharpless says they had to cut down the number of roads used, but they have all the approvals they need to make the event happen.

This will mark year 61for the event, and Sharpless says they’ve never had any serious accidents or litigation matters. Riders as far as PEI and Pennsylvania will come to take part in the three day event. This year it will take place across the Municipality of Highlands East. Sharpless says he’s impressed with the condition of the trails this year, and all he’s hoping for is a dry weekend. He’s been the chair for seven years, and each year it’s rained at least one day of the weekend.

Entries into the event will be accepted right up until the day-of. Spectators are also welcome and can pick up information about where riders will be from the Gooderham Community Centre.

People are also invited to volunteer at the event as course marshals. For more information on the event, volunteering and entering, visit their website.
