Scarborough Man Arrested in Stanhope in Connection to Playground Shooting

The Toronto Police Service has announced that a second suspect wanted in connection to the Scarborough playground shooting was arrested by OPP in Minden.

Tarrick Rhoden was taken into custody early Wednesday morning by police officers with the Minden Hills detachment of the OPP. Rhoden, a 23-year-old of no fixed address, has been charged by the with a variety of charges stemming from a June 14th shooting that left a five-year-old and a nine-year-old girl with gunshot wounds.

Rhoden has a total of seventeen charges, including attempted murder, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, discharge of a firearm with intent, two counts of unauthorized possession of a gun, two counts of possession of a gun knowing it is unauthorized, possession of a loaded restricted firearm, possession of an overcapacity magazine, conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, possession of cocaine with intent to traffic, possession of a schedule one substance, and possession of the proceeds of a crime.

The third suspect in this case, T-Quan Robertson, is still not in custody and is wanted on a Canada-wide Warrant.
