Kawartha Lakes O.P.P. Make Series of Arrests Connected to Drinking and Driving

O.P.P. Officers in Kawartha Lakes had a busy two days.

Sunday and Monday saw the arrest of three separate people for drinking and driving.

Sunday, the first arrest came from a traffic stop that resulted in a 45-year-old Port Perry man being charged with driving over the legal limit, driving with an open alcohol container in the car, and driving with a suspended license. The second arrest on Sunday came from a RIDE check that resulted in a 57-year-old Little Britain man being charged with driving over the legal limit and driving with an open alcohol container.

Monday, officers responded to a traffic complaint of a car hitting an object on someone’s property and leaving the scene. Police later found the car and its driver, a 45-year-old Lindsay woman. The woman was arrested and charged with driving over the legal limit, failure to remain at the scene, careless driving, and driving without insurance.

All three accused are due in the Lindsay Courthouse September 27th.
