A fire at a home in Minden is out shortly after it first started.
Minden and Dysart Fire Departments responded to the call along Gelert Road this morning. Minden Hills Fire Chief Mike Bekking says that they received the call at 8:50am.
When they arrived the firefighters made a quick entry and found the fire in the basement of the home. None of the people who were inside was hurt.
Bekking says that the cause of the fire is unknown but it appeared to be contained to the basement. Other parts of the home did take smoke and water damage. An investigation is underway.
