Three zoning by-law amendmentsĀ are why Highlands East is hosting a public meeting.
During the meeting council will go over three separateĀ applications looking to get amendments to the zoning by-law.
The first application is hoping to build a detached garage on their property, but the construction of the garage would need a rezoning to take place.
The construction of a new dwelling is the reason behind the second application. The property owner is hoping to build a dwelling that would be taller than the maximum allowed 18 metres.
Finally, the third application is wanting to change the by-law so that they can also build a detached garage on the property. The municipality noted that this person had previously been approved for a by-law change so they could build a garage attached to the home.
The meeting is happening at the County Library in Wilberforce at 10:30am on October 3rd.
