Meals on Wheels is looking for support from Haliburton County Reeves. Mayors for Meals is an annual campaign throughout North America where local mayors and reeves deliver meals to seniors and adults with disabilities in the community.
Executive Director for Community Care Haliburton, Maureen Ruttig says they’re hoping the event raises awareness about the value of the service in our community. This marks the fourth Mayors for Meals campaign for Haliburton.
So far, Dysart et al Reeve Murray Fearrey and Algonquin Highlands Reeve Carol Moffatt have confirmed they will be taking part. Last year, Meals on Wheels provided over 17,000 meals to 150 clients.
