A Highlands East man is facing charges after police say he led them on a chase.

Officers responded to a crash on Highway 118 that left one person hurt last night. When they got there, police were told that one of the drivers involved ran into the woods. With the help of the O.P.P. Canine Unit and the Emergency Response Team, the police were able to find the man.

After an investigation, O.P.P. charged the 33-year-old from Highlands East with failure to stay at the scene of an accident, taking a motor vehicle without consent, and obstruction of Justice.

The man was released on a promise to appear, he is due in court in Bancroft on October 30th.
