Steven Consentino says he noticed a few issues in Highlands East over the past few years that he thinks need to be addressed and that’s why he decided to run against current Reeve Dave Burton in this year’s election. He says one of the biggest issues is local jobs and opening up communication between the municipality and local businesses and contractors. The Greens Mountain project is another area that can create jobs he says, but only if the plan includes infrastructure. He says there are assets in Gooderham that can be used to develop something like a campground.
