Haliburton County was chosen as the location for the Expecting to Quit workshop for the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario, and health promoter Derbhla Lynch says it’s an honour to have it here. However, it also means our area has a high number of women who smoke while pregnant. Lynch says sometimes having information about why things are bad for you isn’t always enough and they want to help build women’s motivation to change.
