O.P.P. Make Pair of Arrests Over the Weekend

Kawartha Lakes O.P.P. is reminding you of the dangers of drinking and driving after making two arrests.

Over the weekend, the O.P.P. in Kawartha Lakes arrested and charged a pair of drivers for alcohol-related offences. The first arrest happened on Saturday after officers stopped a 77-year-old Ajax man near the intersection of Highway 7 and Highway 35. He was charged with care or control while impaired and driving with 80 mgs or more of alcohol in his bloodstream. The man is due in court November 8th.

The second arrest happened Sunday after officers responded to a crash on Golf Course Road. The driver of a motorcycle was transported to a hospital where he was treated for minor injuries. After an investigation, O.P.P. charged the 22-year-old from Oshawa with driving while impaired and driving with 80 mgs or more of alcohol in the bloodstream. He is also due in court on November 8th.
