Haliburton Chamber of Commerce President Steps Down

The Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce has a new president after the former president steps down.

The Chamber announced today that Richard Wannen, who had been president for 18 months, has decided to give up the presidency to focus on other business commitments.

According to the Chamber, Andrea Strano the First Vice President will now be the president. Wannen says that he will stay on in an advisory role, adding “I know that Andrea, with her thoughtful leadership and energy, will continue the forward momentum at the Chamber.”

Strano, a member of the chamber since 2013, says that “The Chamber has been around since 1936, and I believe it is an integral component of our business community – I am so proud to be able to serve in this role.” She goes on to say that she is “looking forward to a wonderful year ahead, and I will work hard to further enhance our programs in support of our members.”
