Haliburton County Heat Bank has Detailed All Christmas Assistance Programs in the County

The Heat Bank is doing their part to make sure everyone is taken care of this Christmas.

Tina Jackson, a member of the Haliburton County Heat Bank has created a list of all of the toy, food, and clothing drives going on. As well she has detailed a restaurant offering to cook Christmas dinner for you.

According to Jackson, All of the food banks in the county may have a small supply of hats, mitts, and scarves. Jackson also says that the Lucky Dollar in Gooderham has a tree on site that you can drop off or get a pair of mitts or a scarf.

There are a number of food and toy drives going on leading up Christmas, the first of which is happening at the Cardiff Food Bank. To use the food bank you will have to register by December 8th. There is also a food drive going at the Highlands East Food Hub, there is no registration. If you want to use the Haliburton Food Bank you will need to register by November 26th. And finally the Minden Food Bank, you will have to register between December 2nd and December 7th

If you are unable to get to or prepare a Christmas dinner, McKeck’s Tap and Grill is offering a free turkey dinner on Christmas Day.
