Haliburton County is looking for a new member for their Joint Compliance Audit Committee.
The county is trying to get a new member for the JCAC after one of the members resigned. The county says it is taking resumes for the position, adding that you will also need a cover letter.
As a member of the committee, you will join your colleagues in reviewing applications and granting or rejecting audit requests. After an audit is approved you are tasked with appointing an auditor general to the application, and if need be decide when legal action will be taken.
If you are interested in applying, the county says it is preferred that you have auditing experience, be a political science or local administration professor, or someone with a working knowledge of campaign finance rules.
To apply for the position you will have to get your resume and cover letter to the county no later than December 21st. County staff urge that you mark your information as confidential before sending it in.
