After school program comes to JDH

A new after school program at JDH will bring recreation and healthy snacks to students in grades 4 to 8. Dysart Recreation Program Coordinator Andrea Mueller is teaming up with Point in Time to run the program every Wednesday starting October 22. Mueller says a program was tried in the past and it was held at the park, but location and weather restrictions couldn’t keep it up and running. This time they have the use of the school until the end of May, so Mueller says that will give students a chance to be with their friends and in a place they feel safe. Erin Curry from Point in Time says the program falls in line with the others they’ve been offering in Wilberforce, Cardiff and Minden for the past ten years. Registration forms are going home with students this week. To offer donations, contact Andrea at the Dysart Municipal office or Point in Time.
