The municipality of Highlands East is asking the public to get their skates ready this week.
Members of the public are being given the heads up that aside from the regular free skate times, there have been several days added to the free skating in the municipality.
The municipality announced four extra dates to skate with no cost. The first day is this Saturday from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
The second additional date is Thursday December 27th, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. The third is the next day from 6:30 to 8:00pm.

The final addition to the free skating is in the new year on January 3rd from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
According to the municipality, free skating can be done every Sunday from 12:30 to 2:00pm with the end of ice skating being March 31st.
