The municipality of Dysart et al is looking to add members of the public to its committees.
According to the municipality, they are looking for people to join one of the five standing committees they have openings in. Right now they are taking new members on the Cultural Resources Committee, the Economic Development Committee, Sign and Property Standards Committee, Events and Recreation Programming Committee, and the Committee of Adjustment.
Dysart Staff says these committees are all standing committees which generally speaking are filled for a four-year term and require a formal appointment to the position.
If you are hoping to join the Cultural Resources Committee, Dysart staff note that they are looking for two members. The municipality is hoping to get one member with “the experience to represent the business community.” The other person they would like to join this committee is a young person that can speak to the needs of the younger people in the community.
The Economic Development Committee is seeking four members of the public. Whereas the Sign and Property Standards Committee and the Events and Recreation Programming Committee, as well as the Committee of Adjustment, are all seeking three members.
If you are hoping to join any of these, staff say you need to submit an expression of interest to the municipal clerk Cheryl Coulson by December 10th at noon. Coulson says you can drop it off in person or email her at [email protected]
