Minden Hills is looking for people to become members of the Committee of Adjustment.
The township is hoping to fill two spots on the committee that oversees and reviews minor variances and zoning by-law adjustments. The town says the committee is a quasi-judicial one that is appointed by Minden Hills council.
Applicants that are interested in joining the committee need to be a resident or property owner in Minden Hills, be a long-standing member of the community, background knowledge related to that of the committee, as well as a working knowledge of the land use planning process. Other requirements include being objective, have a reason for being on the committee and the ability to conduct on-site inspections.
Once applicants are elected to the committee they are given slight remuneration in $100 per regular meeting, and the township will compensate you for the mileage used for site visits.
Minden Hills’ Clerks department says if you are going to apply you need to get your resume, and cover letter to the Clerk’s department by January 17th or you can email [email protected]
