The O.P.P. is looking for information following an attempted robbery in Bancroft New Year’s Eve day.
Monday morning police responded to an attempted robbery call on Hastings street. Once officers arrived they learned that an 18-year-old was attacked while exiting her vehicle. O.P.P. describes the suspect as a white man in his 50s with a short beard, he was seen wearing all black and a hood.
According to the police report, the victim was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. As well, the O.P.P.’s Emergency Response Team, a canine unit, and the Forensic Identification Unit were all involved in a search for the suspect.
Bancroft O.P.P. has launched an investigation and is looking through surveillance footage in hopes of identifying the suspect.
