SIRCH raises $30,000 for Gifts from the Heart Campaign

SIRCH and the generosity of the community have raised $30,000 for an annual holiday campaign.

Through the holiday season, SIRCH Community Services were collecting donations for the organization’s Gifts from the Heart campaign.

The goal of the campaign was to raise money to skirt the operating costs of SIRCH’s Community Kitchen. The kitchen prepares meals for food insecure people to make use of. As well, SIRCH offers programs and training out of the community kitchen.

Angelica Ingram of SIRCH told My Haliburton Now.com in a previous interview, that the community kitchen gave out 7,000 meals last year.

According to SIRCH, the Gifts from the Heart Campaign had 168 donors leading to the grand total of $30,680 which is over their goal for the year.
